Parking And Shuttle Information

The inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio Marathon & 1/2 Marathon has limited start line parking and no finish line parking. We encourage you to read the information in this section carefully for all the options available for getting to and from the start and finish lines on race day. Contact us with any questions.

Participants Getting To The Start Line

There is limited parking at the start line on race morning. Participants are encouraged to take a complimentary shuttle from the satellite parking lot at the AT&T Center or from specific downtown locations. There are several options, so be sure to plan ahead!

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING FOR RUNNERS AT THE FINISH LINE

1. AT&T Center Parking - Preferred Option!

Complimentary satellite parking will be available for all participants and spectators at the AT&T Center Lots 1 thru 9 on race morning.

Participants: Shuttles will run for participants only from 4:30am to 7:00am to the start line. You must have a race number to ride the participant shuttle.

Directions:

  • From Northeast San Antonio/Austin
    From I-35 South, Exit Loop 410 South, take W.W. White Road, turn right on Commerce Street and right on Houston Street and continue straight about 1/2 mile to the AT&T Center.
  • From Northwest San Antonio
    From I-10 East, take I-35 North, exit Walters/AT&T Center Parkway, proceed through Walters intersection and turn right on AT&T Center Parkway to the AT&T Center.
  • From South San Antonio
    From I-35 or I-37 North, take I-10 East, exit Houston Street turn left (west), proceed straight ahead about 1 mile to the AT&T Center.

AT&T Center Shuttle Terminals:

Enter the parking lot through any entrance Lots 1 thru 9. Shuttle terminals will be located in Lot 4 and in Lot 1.

2. Downtown Shuttles To The Start - 4:30am To 7:00am

Complimentary shuttles will be available for participants only from several downtown locations to the start line running between 4:30am to 7:00am. Participants must show their race number to board the shuttle. Spectators are not allowed on these downtown shuttles.

3. Pearl Brewery Start Line Drop Off

Participant start line drop-off is located about 1/2-mile south of the actual starting line near the Pearl Brewery. You can only access the start line drop off zone traveling south on Hwy 281. From Hwy 281 south, take the Josephine St/Grayson St, go straight off the exit and follow signs around the drop off loop. Spectator or participant parking is available near the Pearl Brewery under the freeway, but there is no transportation back to this location from the finish line. Do not use Broadway to access this parking area.

4. Start Area Parking

There is no parking in the immediate vicinity of the start line. Parking is available near the Zoo and Alamo Stadium about 1/2-mile from the actual start line. To access the parking, exit St. Mary’s Street from Hwy 281/I-37 from the north or south. From northbound take a left onto Stadium Drive (north) towards Alamo Stadium. From southbound, take the turnaround north to Stadium Drive towards Alamo Stadium.

If you park in the start area lots you must take a shuttle to the start line village. There is no pedestrian route to the start line village from start area parking. Do not use Broadway to access this parking area. There are no free shuttles back to the start line after the race.

Participants Leaving The Finish Line

1. AT&T Center Return Shuttles

Return shuttles back to the AT&T Center will run from 8:00am to 4:30pm from Lot B (adjacent to the finish line). These are free shuttles to both participants and spectators.

2. Downtown Return Shuttle - $15

There is a paid shuttle available back to several downtown locations running from 11:00am to 4:30pm. The return-only Downtown shuttle cost is $15. Tickets can be purchased online in our Merchandise store or at the Health and Fitness Expo. Most downtown hotels are within a 1/2 mile walk from the finish line. There are no free shuttles to Downtown after the race.

There is a paid shuttle service available back to the start area parking at Alamo Stadium and the Zoo. This shuttle will run from 11:00am to 4:30pm. The return-only Start Area shuttle cost is $15. Tickets can be purchased online in our Merchandise store or at the Health & Fitness Expo.

Finish line parking is available with the Premium Package - limited space available. There are no free shuttles back to the start line after the race.

 

Spectators Getting To The Finish Line

Spectators are encouraged to park at the AT&T Center lot and take a complimentary round trip shuttle to the finish line or to park in a downtown lot and walk to the finish line at the Alamodome. There is no spectator parking at the start line.

1. AT&T Center Satellite Parking - 8:00am - 4:00pm

Spectators can park at the AT&T Center lots 1 thru 9 and receive complimentary round trip shuttle service to the finish line at the Alamodome between 8:00am to 4:00pm. Spectators should not arrive at the parking lot before 8:00am, there are no spectator shuttles before 8:00am.

2. Downtown Parking

To access parking lots in the downtown area, use the Commerce Street exit off I-37 from north or southbound and go west towards downtown. Spectators can park in lots along Commerce and Market Streets and walk to the Alamodome/Finish Line, less than 1/2-mile away. Suggested pedestrian route is via Commerce. Follow signs to Alamodome where the finish line festivities will be taking place.

No Parking

Some streets along the race course will be marked with No Parking. Please familiarize yourself with these affected streets and make alternate plans to park off the race course by 12:01 am on race day. Vehicles in violation of these posted signs will be ticketed and towed at the owners' expense. No Parking signs will be removed following the last event participant.
